Polysomnography (PSG)

A comprehensive sleep study that records brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing, as well as eye and leg movements during sleep. It’s considered the gold standard for diagnosing sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, and narcolepsy.

Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)

A portable monitor used at home to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea. It records oxygen levels, airflow, heart rate, and breathing patterns during sleep.

Actigraphy

A non-invasive method of monitoring human rest/activity cycles using a wearable device, usually on the wrist. It helps diagnose circadian rhythm disorders, insomnia, and sleep-related movement disorders.
